Course Overview
Designed to satisfy the DOT's general awareness training requirements, this two-day course teaches the student how to navigate and understand the Hazardous Materials Regulations, including classification of hazardous materials, how to select the proper packaging, when to use packaging exceptions, how to select a proper shipping name and how to properly identify a material through the use of shipping papers, marking, labeling, placarding and emergency response information. This course includes a step-by-step manual, exercise workbook and a copy of 49CFR that is yours to keep.
